Sharon Marlene Heflin, 75, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday (April 5, 2016).
She was born Dec. 26, 1940, in Enterprise, daughter of the late Forest and Eathel Harris Thorne.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Billie R. Heflin; one son, Roger Heflin; and one sister, Rita Johnson.
She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Belinda and George Harrison of Bridgeport, Sheila and Randy Krepps, Lisa and Jeff Woody, all of Worthington; eight grandchildren, Billie Davis, Jessika Heflin, Morgan Harrison, Cody Woody, Brandy Heflin, Chris Heflin, Jonathan Heflin and Howard Heflin; two special great-grandchildren, Kiera Heflin and Colton White, and several other great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; one brother, Richard Davis of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one sister, Ruth Ann West of South Carolina; and one special friend, Jackie Butcher of Shinnston.
Sharon was a homemaker who raised her children, grandchildren and several others. She loved all children and did what she could for anyone. Sharon enjoyed her time camping, swimming, collecting Ty Beanie Babies, going to Wal-Mart and dancing at Big Bear Lake.
Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Roy Clark officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Enterprise.
