Sally Hayes Nestor, 72, of Mill Ridge Road, Granite Falls, North Carolina, passed away early Tuesday morning in Frye Memorial Hospital in Hickory, North Carolina.
She was born June 7, 1944, in Canton, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert Fluharty and Helen Hayes.
Mrs. Nestor had a strong faith with Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She was earlier employed by Dr. Tom Turner of Fairmont, with more than 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. George Nestor of Granite Falls, North Carolina (married 52 years); two sons, George "Hovie" Nestor of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and Heath and his wife Sonja Nestor of Fort Mill, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Charley and her husband J.D. Sexton of Fairmont, Zachree and Kaci Nestor of Kernersville, North Carolina and Kykie and Kaykie Nestor both of Fort Mill, South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, McKenna Sexton of Fairmont and McKinley Nestor of Kernersville, North Carolina; two brothers, Butch Higgins of Mannington and Roger Higgins of Mannington; and two sisters, Cherylle Smith of Mannington and Sheri Martin of Nestorville.
Mrs. Nestor has chosen cremation services.
Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Ray Crabtree officiating.
