Robert Allen "Rob" Evans, age 48, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born on September 1, 1968 in Philippi, WV, a son of Karen Sue Evans Fuller of Columbus, OH and the late Burton Ketterman.
In addition to his mother, Rob is survived by two sons and two daughters: Dustin Ours of Morgantown, Shaquille Evans of Fairmont, Karena and Shalyn Evans both of Flemington; his fiancé, Ellnor "Liz" Jenkins and her three children: TJ, Brittany, and Laci Poe all of Flemington; one brother, Joe "Mick" Evans and wife Julie of Bridgeport; one sister, Karrie Sue Fuller and friend Eric of Columbus; seven grandchildren and one on the way; nieces and nephews: Daniele Hawkinberry of Simpson, Joey Evans of Bridgeport, Brooke Hudkins of Galloway, and Serenity and Little Eric of Columbus; aunts and uncles: Eulas "Tootsie" Evans of NY, Joe "Skeet" Evans of Brownton, William "Jr" Evans, Loretta Mayle, Wilma Perry, and Sandra Harris all of OH. Rob was also blessed with several cousins and extended family members, too numerous to mention, but he loved each and every one of them. The family would also like to thank his bestfriend, Robert Barnett and his father figure Richard Rager for always being there for Rob.
In addition to his father, Rob was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Loretta "Granny" Evans; one brother, Thomas L. Evans; two uncles: Larry "PeeWee" Evans and Eugene Evans; and one nephew, Devin Faulkiner.
Rob was a dedicated employee to RRHAMCO, Inc for 28 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, junking, and riding 4-wheelers as well as his prized motorcycles. Rob enjoyed working around his home and collecting various old and antique items. He also loved music and enjoyed hanging out with friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his best friend and soul mate Liz and his baby girls, Karena and Shalyn, as they were his life. He never met a stranger and was a good mate, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed, especially his story telling, his laugh, and most of all his contagious smile.
The family will receive friends at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV, on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 10am until 1pm at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor JR Mayle presiding. Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Evans Family during this time.
