Patsy Carallino, 88, of Rivesville, died Sunday (Jan. 8, 2017) in the Golden Living Nursing Home in Morgantown.
He was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Luigi and Sophie Altovilla Carallino. He was preceded in death by his wife Vera Lee Wilson Carallino in 2008.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patsy Carallino of Rivesville and David and Terrie Carallino of Rivesville; a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Kevin Luketic of Rivesville; a sister, Carmella Corallino of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Anthony Carallino of Morgantown and Amber Nicole Luketic of Rivesville; a great-grandson, Ethan Gregory Luketic of Rivesville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Marie Luketic, and several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Carallino was a retired coal miner from the Consolidation Coal Company, Morgantown Division. He was Catholic by faith and served in the United States Army as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. Patsy enjoyed cooking, gardening and fixing things around the home. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating. The committal service will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fairmont, WV.
