Nick Tony Carovillano, 86, of Grafton, formerly of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Aug. 7, 2016) at the Rosewood Center.
Nick was born March 14, 1930, in Fairmont, son of the late Tony Carovillano and Katie Fraternali Carovillano.
Nick was formerly employed by Owens-Illinois for 34 years and Fairmont State College for eight years. He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force from 1950-54, serving in Germany and France with the 38th Bomb Wing. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Fairmont.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife in 2001, Edna Ruth Carovillano.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa (Peters) Foley Carovillano of Grafton; two sons, Anthony Carovillano and wife Gale and David Carovillano and wife Victoria, both of Hurricane; two stepsons, Charles Foley and wife Tammy of Grafton and Brian Foley and wife Julie of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Andera, Chazz and Matt; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Teresa Zelt of Bellview; a nephew, Michael Devericks and wife Nancy of Bellview; a niece, Joyce Cabral and husband Manny of Martinsburg.
Nick chose to be cremated.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont with a service being held at 2 p.m. with Deacon David Lester officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick's name to: Hospice Care Corp., P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
