Dr. Nicholas Thomas Lalli Jr., 64, of Mannington, went to heaven on Monday (May 30, 2016) at his residence.
He was born Aug. 22, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Nicholas and Rose Skidmore Lalli.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela; a daughter, Harley Hoff and husband George of California; and three sons, Nicholas Y. Lalli and fiancee Julie, Ezra Lalli and Simon Lalli, all of New York. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Beal and husband Fred of Florida; three brothers, Tony Lalli and wife Deloris of New York, John Lalli of Morgantown, and Joe Lalli and wife Helena of Pennsylvania; four stepchildren, Stephen Thorn and fiancee Stephanie of West Virginia, Kimberly Wier and husband Allan of Florida, Melissa Martin, and Micah Thorn and wife Niki of West Virginia; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann DeStefano Lalli.
Dr. Lalli was the president of True Knowledge Ministries, International, which he pioneered in Mannington in August 1991, including the Mannington Outreach Center Church, TKMI Publications, TKMI Bible Training Centers and TKMI Broadcasting. He had written many Bible study guides. He was a missionary to Central and East Africa and the overseer of TKMI Worship Centers in Kenya, Uganda and Malawi, Africa. Dr. Lalli certainly was a man of faith, who served as a volunteer chaplain at United Hospital Center in the Oncology Department.
Family and friends may call from 2:30-8 p.m. Friday at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastors Drs. John and Rebecca Polis officiating. Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
