Mary Ann Wilson, 75, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday (Jan. 11, 2017) at home.
She was born on Feb. 24, 1941, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Lawrence "Chappy" and Myrtle (Morgan) Norris.
Mary was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church and later of Gateway United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for more than 40 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Friends and family will remember Mary as a hard worker, who had a kind heart and was always there to help those in need.
Mary is survived by her sons, Robert Jeffrey Wilson and wife Johanna, of South Carolina, and Lance L. Wilson of Fairmont; brother, Tom Norris and wife Tonya of California; sisters, Nancy Malcolm and husband John of Morgantown, Jean Warnick and husband Harvey of Virginia; grandchildren, Ann Morgan Wilson and John Robert Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Wilson in 2007; and an infant son, Jeffrey Norris Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Edin officiating.
