Mary Edith Rodetsky, 75, of Sunshine Valley Drive, Shinnston, passed away Saturday morning in United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born June 30, 1942, in Charleston, a daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Leo Lamb Fidler.
Mrs. Rodetsky was a Methodist by faith. She received her B.A. degree in history and a master's degree in art from Concord University. She was an employee of the Times West Virginian as a writer and editor with two years of service. She earlier served as records clerk for Fairmont Emergency Hospital. Mary and her husband were both involved as dog obedience trainers.
Survivors include her husband, Robert I. Rodetsky of Shinnston, and two sons, David Kent Sullivan of Homosassa, Florida, and Christopher Sullivan of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Fidler Jr.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Buckland officiating.
