Martha "Jane" Morgan Haynes, 70, passed away Monday (May 2, 2016) at her home in Bellview, with the love of her life by her side.
She was born July 27, 1945, to John Morgan and Martha "Dale" Morgan.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Tom Haynes, whom she married June 5, 1999.
Jane was a 1963 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and a 1967 graduate of Fairmont State College, earning a B.A. in education. She then attended West Virginia University, where she earned her master's degree. She began her teaching career in Wellsburg and also taught at Rivesville Elementary School.
Jane was a member of Highland Avenue U.M.C., the United Methodist Women, Martha's Circle, served on many church committees, volunteered at the Soup Opera for many years and was a true disciple of Christ. She also belonged to the Bellview Lions Club and volunteered at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by two sons, Jeffrey T. Haynes (Dawn) and their children, Emily Jean, Elora Beth and Abby Dawn of Palm Coast, Florida, and Douglas M. Haynes of Fairmont and his daughter Kaytlyn Haynes of Holly Hill, Florida; and her daughter, Beth Anne Zivitski (Rich) and their children, Chloe Isabella, Richard Andrew and Bailey Anne of Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
Jane loved to entertain family and friends at their home in Bellview. She loved to go on bus trips with MCPARC with beloved husband Tom.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in Jane's memory to Highland Avenue U.M.C., 204 Highland Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Micah Blanks officiating. A committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont.
