Mabel Maxine Wright Haught, 91, of Fairview, passed away Friday (April 21, 2017) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born in White Oak, daughter of the late Clarence Dewey and Ida Floyd Wright.
Mabel was a member of the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ. She loved sitting on her porch at the family farm, spending time with family and friends and her four-legged friend, Kiowa.
Mabel is survived by three children, Terry Haught and wife Patricia of Fairview, Patricia Darlene Pitman and husband Julian "Dusty" of Fairmont and Cindy Provins of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Robert Haught and wife Audrey of Colombia, South Carolina, James Pitman of Fairmont, Tricia Masters and husband Kevin of Fairmont, John Pitman and wife Sandra of Fairmont, John Provins III, who is serving in the West Virginia Army Nation Guard and wife Eileen of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, and Brandon Provins, who is serving in the U.S. Air Force and companion Morgan Burton of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Alex, Abby and Ashley Masters of Fairmont, Jake, Emily and Cole Pitman of Fairmont, Matthew Haught of Princeton, New Jersey, and Gabrielle Haught of Columbia, South Carolina; a brother, Ken Wright of Jacksonburg; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mabel is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Robert Haught; a son, SP5 Gary Lee Haught, who died in Vietnam; three brothers, Robert, Paul and Harold Ray Wright; and two sisters, Dorothy Wright Wildman and Barbara Jean Wright, who died in an accident at age 3.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ, 18 Darrah Lane, Fairview. The funeral service will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Evangelist Mark Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
