Lisa Joy Miller, 52, passed away on her birthday Sunday surrounded by friends and family.
She was born on July 16, 1965, to Karen Satterfield Miller and the late Leland Dwight Miller.
Lisa was a 1983 graduate of Waco High School and graduated with Director's Honors from West Virginia Junior College of Morgantown. She was a member of the Moose and the VFW Auxiliary. Lisa was employed by Lowe's of Morgantown as a head cashier prior to her illness.
In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her son, Dereck Lee Todd Miller; aunts and uncles, Lyle and Myrtle Miller and Larry and Suzette Miller, all of Core, Linda Rogers of Amity, Pennsylvania, and Suzie and Bill Watkins of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and two very special friends, Vicky Lynn Walker of Charleston and Mavis Eddy of Core.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Dakota Todd Lee Miller; maternal grandparents, Bob and Edrabelle Satterfield; fraternal grandparents, Oliver and Eva Miller; an uncle, Albert Rogers; and an aunt, Linda Satterfield Javosky.
Lisa has chosen cremation as her final disposition, and memorial contributions can be made in her name to the charity of one's choice.
