Kelly "Groundhog" Rush, 47, of Mannington, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 2, 2016) at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born July 21, 1969, in Fairmont, a son of Dorothy Joan Lough Rush and the late Philip C. Rush.
Kelly was employed as a custodian with the Marion County Board of Education with 17 years of service. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, play pool and target shoot and was a firearms enthusiast.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Chris (Christina) Rush of Fairmont, Preston Dana Rush of Mannington and Alita (Nathan) Haught of Clarksburg; nieces and nephews, Haley and Dusty Getz, Lindsey, Zack, Olivia, Braiden and Gracen Haught; and a great-nephew, Graham Getz.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Hutson Funeral Home, 500 E. Main St., Mannington, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating.
