Judith "Judy"'s Story
Judith "Judy" Ann Morgan, 73, of Fairmont, passed away Saturday (May 13, 2017) at St. Barbara's Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1943, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Paul Waitman Morgan and Nellie Maxine (Hinzman) Morgan.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had last worked at Side Street Deli in Fairmont, which was co-owned by her daughters. Judy was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, two sons, Jim Dickerson of Arizona and Michael Dickerson and his wife Paula of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Terri Morgan and her husband Chuck of Fairmont, Lisa Moran and her husband Phil of Fairmont and Taunya Soulier of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, Jessica, Sean, Erik, Kaitlin, Shannon, Kerri, Trevor, Haley, Macie, Rachel, Robbie, Hayden and Nathan; and two great-grandchildren, Zaiden and Elijah. Also surviving are her brother, Jerry Morgan of Fairmont; her sister, Janelle Morgan of Fairmont; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Morgan, and two sisters, Bunny Morgan and Barbara Morgan.
Friends and family will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cross Roads Building, Grassy Run. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Cross Roads Community Building, Grassy Run, with Pastor Jason Morgan officiating.
