John Edward Sopuch, 66, of Farmington, passed away Sunday (May 21, 2017) at his residence.
He was born Feb. 11, 1951, in Monongalia County, the son of Ella Frances Jones Sopuch of Farmington and the late John Sopuch.
John was employed in mine construction for the coal mines and most recently Gunther and Nash. He loved to hunt and fish and also enjoyed carpentry. He was a "Jack of all Trades."
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Crystal Wilson of Monumental; a son, Derek Stevens of Fairmont; grandchildren, Jayden Wilson and Jackson Stevens; one sister, Donna S. (Ed) Garrison of Baxter; a nephew, Jeffrey and Andi Garrison; a niece, Frances and Tony Maset; and several additional nieces and nephews and extended family.
In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Wilson.
There will be no public viewing or services. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington.
