Jerry Lee Hunkins, 41, of Fairmont, departed this life Thursday (Aug. 25, 2016) at his home.
He was born April 12, 1975, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Carlos and Charlene Jackson of Fairmont.
Jerry attended several schools and colleges in Fort Wayne and was presently enrolled in Argosy University. He was a notary and received his accounting degree from Brown Mackey College in Indiana.
He was also an ordained minister from the Universal Life Church Monastery Stockhouse Inc. Jerry was a faithful member of the Morning Star Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two daughters, Cassie and Faith Hunkins of Fairmont; his maternal grandmother, Nila Fox of Fort Wayne, Indiana; seven brothers, Ayers Alexander and Howard Corley of Fairmont, David Alexander Sr. of Daytona Beach, Florida, Gregory Mitchell of Ossian, Indiana, Ron Jordon, Tyrone Littlejohn and Darrell Littlejohn, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two aunts, Naomi (Ron) Alexander Bledsone of Dayton, Ohio, and Judy Alexander of Fort Wayne, Indiana; special nieces and nephews, Carlos Alexander, Carysma Dikty and Skylar Shatzer, all of Fairmont; as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Hunkins; and his maternal great-grandparents, Elmer and Edith McCartney.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.-noon Friday at the Morning Star Baptist Church, 100 McKinney St., Fairmont. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. Wesley Q. Dobbs officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the JG Lampkin Funeral Home.
