Janice Elaine Satterfield Stewart, 68, of Mannington, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday (May 13, 2016) at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Charles Satterfield and Vereda Satterfield.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, James Stewart; three children, Angela Masters, James Scott Masters and his lifelong companion Rhonda Swiger and Paula Tartell and her husband Jimmy Tartell; five grandchildren, Criquet Hamrick, Christopher Hamrick, Amber Fluharty, Eric Fluharty and Megan Stone; two very special great-granddaughters, Mariah Hamrick and Briella Hamrick; two very special great-grandsons, Carter Hamrick and Sawyer Hagley; two sisters, Lynn Hostuttler and fiancé Delmas Crawford and Terry Satterfield, whom she loved and took care of everyday; her brother, Charles "Chuck" Satterfield; eight nieces and nephews she dearly loved; and a very dear friend, Pat Reynolds.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Hall.
Janice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read and garden her flowers. She was a very hard, dedicated worker her whole life. She was a Christian. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her great-grandchildren. She loved going on trips with her husband.
Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Masters Funeral Home, Mannington. Funeral services will be held beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with Evangelist Ron Allan officiating. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
