Ivan Leon Martin, 80, of Monongah, died Monday (July 4, 2016) at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.
He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Enterprise, a son of the late Odis and Connie Hayes Martin.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sandra Keyser of Virginia and Connie Martin of Canton, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Debbie Ledbetter of Virginia; two grandsons who Ivan raised, Andrew Junior Martin of Canton, Ohio, and Robert Keyser of Canton, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Amber Martin of Canton, Ohio; five brothers, Denzil Martin of Canton, Ohio, Calvin Martin of Fairview, Wayne Martin of Seattle, Washington, Donald Martin of Ices Run and Robert Martin of Rymer; four sisters, Alice Reed of Wadestown, Charlotte Kuhn of Burton, Dorothy Hendershot of Dents Run and Viola Hill of Moundsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Reed Martin.
Ivan worked and retired from Stockton Fire Co. in Canton, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. at Masters Funeral Home, Mannington, with Pastor Harry Holbert officiating. Interment will follow at Greene Cemetery in Dents Run.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Masters Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
