Harlow William Kemble, 94, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Jan. 1, 2017) at Nellas Nursing Home in Elkins.
He was born Sept. 17, 1922, son of the late Everett and Lily Jarrett Kemble. Harlow was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served as a medic during World War II. Harlow was formerly employed by Earl Carpenter Trucking Company and W.S. Thomas Transfer. Harlow is survived by a son, Richard Kemble and wife Lorina of Whitehall; a brother, LeRoy Kemble and wife Patricia of California; a granddaughter, Jennifer Hashman and husband Ronald of Rivesville; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hashman of Rivesville; a nephew, Danny Kemble; and four nieces, Tina Darnett, Linda Poling, Rebecca Blair and husband David, and Julia Travis.
In addition to his parents, Harlow is preceded in death by his wife, Dolly June Collins Kemble; a brother, Elmo Kemble; and a sister, Catherine Ferguson.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Dave Blair officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
