Gary L. Postlethwait, age 59, of Ravenswood and formerly of Mannington, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday (April 20, 2017).
He was born Aug. 16, 1957 in Clarksburg.
Gary was a member of The First Christian Church in Mannington and Praise Cathedral in Ravenswood.
He attended Mannington High School and obtained his GED in 1999. Gary's proudest accomplishment was being an EMT for Marion County Rescue Squad and was named an honorary member of the MCRS Mannington Station.
Gary made many friends through his love of buying and trading baseball cards.
He moved from his home in Mannington to Ravenswood in 1998, to be closer to his family.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, whom he adored, Irene Postlethwait, and his sister, Marlene J. Lamp.
Gary is survived by his two sisters, Linda (Mike) McClung and Renae Genteel, both of Ravenswood; two brothers, Keith (Jeanni) Postlethwait of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Tim (Tamera) Postlethwait of Belpre, Ohio. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Gary will be most remembered for his gift of gab, great sense of humor and boisterous laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ruth Sergent officiating. Interment will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery in Mannington.
