Franklin Blain Keith, age 85, passed away after a long illness on Thursday (April 20th) at Select Medical Specialty Long-Term Acute Care, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born on Dec. 8th, 1932, in Fairmont, to Thomas Orlando and Roxie Olean (Davis) Keith.
Frank Keith was an avid coin collector and loved his canine companions, most recently his beloved dog, Dawn, who preceded him in death. He also enjoyed Westerns and classic movies for entertainment. You could always find Frank every morning eating breakfast at Canaries in Cleveland where he was beloved by staff. In his earlier years, he was an airplane and helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam conflict. He retired as a Sergeant First Class (E-7) after 22 1/2 years of Army service.
Frank Keith is survived by Mary Louise Jacobs, his first wife; Retha Susie Jordan, his second wife; and long time close friend, Tammy Jobe. He leaves behind four children from his first marriage, Marcy Lynne Keith, Carol Elizabeth Young, Lisa Gaye Keith and Franklin Brian Keith; and a stepson, Reggie Jordan. From these children he has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Frank Keith was preceded in death by his siblings, Pauline Hawkins, Jack Keith, Floe Keener, Bertie Lou Armstrong and Thomas Keith.
A memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 29th, between the hours of 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Cleveland where the family will be receiving condolences.
