Florence Eleanor Harry, 86, of Gainesville, Virginia, formerly of Grant Town, passed away Sunday (Feb. 19, 2017) at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1930 daughter of the late John and Kazmira Kobletski Runewicz.
She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church and a former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grant Town and St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Fairmont.
Though she left West Virginia, Grant Town remained home to her. She always looked forward to visits throughout the year. Florence loved her entire family very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Harry, four siblings, Charles Runewicz, Wanda Dobies, Richard Runewicz and Irene Selan.
She is survived by two children, Steven Harry and wife Valerie of Evansville, Indiana, Valerie Loague and husband Jeff of Gainesville, Virginia; six grandchildren, Elyse Harry, Alyson Aldridge, Kathryn Schmitt, Olivia Harry, Quentin Loague, and Kaelyn Loague; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, John Runewicz and wife Joanne of Avon Lake, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Domico Funeral Home 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont. There will be a vigil service at 5 p.m. Sunday held by Deacon David Lester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Fairmont with Father Robert Perriello as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
