Fay was living in Leesburg, Florida, where he fished almost every day.
He was born in Arnettsville. He had four brothers and three sisters; three of his brothers and two of his sisters passed.
He was a coal miner and worked at Consol Mine 93. Then, he became a federal mine inspector which he retired from and moved to Florida. He had also served in the U.S. Army; he was stationed in Japan during the war. He liked telling us kids stories about his time served as he got older.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Davidson Miller; his daughter, JoAnn (Robert) Tucker; son, Roger (Debbie) Miller; son, Douglas (Deanna) Miller; son, Bryon (Cindy) Miller; and daughter, Cheryl (Rodney) Keener.
One grandson preceeded him in death, Dustin Pacifico.
He had eight grandchildren, Jennifer Tucker Glaspell, Robbie Tucker, Mandy Miller Fleming, Kristi Miller Fleming, Stevie Miller McClelland, Nathan Pacifico and Rusty Pacifico. He also had 12 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements made cremation and placed in a crypt with veterans burial in National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
