Ernest Edward Booth Sr., of Anderson Court, Fairmont, passed away early Friday morning (May 6, 2016) in his residence.
He was born June 30, 1948, in Marion County, son of the late James E. Booth and Martha Elizabeth Yost Frazee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean Booth, who died in 2012.
He was a graduate of Monongah High School. Mr. Booth retired from Wilson Ford, with 27 years as a car salesman. He enjoyed bowling, various car shows (over-the-hill cruisers) and cookouts with his family. Mr. Booth truly enjoyed every holiday.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Ernest E. Jr. and Hazel Booth of Fairmont; a daughter and her husband, Donna and Gary Wells of Coolville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kisha and husband Dennis Perkins of Fairmont, Caleb Hartley of Fairmont, Michael Booth of Fairmont, and Michelle Booth of Fairmont; a great-grandchild, Kaydee Perkins of Fairmont; a brother and his wife, John and Linda Booth of Delaware; a sister, Virginia Curtis of Four States; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha E. Freeland.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Colombia St., Fairmont. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home noon Tuesday with Pastor Eric Veltre officiating.
Mr. Booth has chosen cremation services. A family committal will follow at a later time in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Fairmont.
