Eloise Lou Ison, 81, of Fairmont (Bellview Community), passed from this life Monday, (December 26, 2016) at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a very brief illness.
She was born in Belington on April 18, 1935, a daughter of the late Eugene and Olga Barnett Bennett.
She worked as a line worker and retired with 34 years of service from North American Phillips. She was an active member of the Covenant Church. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
Mrs. Ison is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Lee Ison; one daughter, Sheree Tate of Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister, Lura Spotloe of Philippi; one grandson, Tab (Ktryna) Eddy of Worthington; one granddaughter, Ashley Tate of Shinnston; and two great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Kaydence Eddy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. today and from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastors Josh Morgan and Roy Weese officiating. Internment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
