Eddy Ray Anderson, 78, of Franklin, passed away Friday (Feb. 17, 2017).
He was born Oct. 4, 1938, in Mill Fall, son of the late Delbert and Edna (Withers) Anderson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a former employee of Interstate Engineers. He was also a state road employee and a security guard. Eddy was a member of the Franklin Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing bocce ball, horseshoes, hunting and fishing, and was an avid West Virginia University football and basketball fan.
He is survived by two children, Roger Anderson and fiancée Lisa of Franklin, Marlene Simmons and husband Avery of Franklin; a brother, Carroll "Skip" Anderson of Bruceton Mills; two grandchildren, Chase Simmons and Kenze Simmons.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Teter officiating.
