Dorothy Ethel Millard, 71, of Salt Lick Community, died Monday (May 30, 2016) at her residence.
She was born March 7, 1945, in Prince George County, Maryland, a daughter of the late Raymond Elwood and Dorothy Ethel Fenwick Bell.
She is survived by two daughters, April Marie and Elizabeth Cassandra Millard both of Mannington; two sons, Ronald Lewis Millard and his wife Julie Lynn of West Carollton, Ohio, and Robert Merle Millard of Lincoln County; four grandchildren, Hannabell Hope, Grace Mae, Baylan Deforest and Christopher Andrew Millard; two sisters, Francis Marie Bertman of Shadyside, Maryland, and April Louise Pritchard in Pennsylvania; a brother, Raymond Elwood Bell Jr. of Beltsville, Maryland; also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lewis Millard on Nov. 15, 1991; a sister, Mary Agnes Cochran; and a grandson, Matthew Dennis Young.
She was a member of the Mannington Church of Christ, had volunteered at Marion County Senior Citizens in Mannington, had sung with the Belle and Gents and retired from Nickles Bakery in Fairmont. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Evangelist Dr. Michael P. Reese officiating. Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
