Donna Kay Sanner, 61, of Fairmont, passed from this life Saturday (Dec. 3, 2016) in her home under Amedysis Hospice care, after a three-year battle with ALS.
She was born in Fairmont on June 14, 1955, a daughter of Helen L. Burres Wiley of Fairmont and the late Donald Earl Wiley, Sr..
Donna was a Christian by faith. She went to work soon after high school at the 1st National Bank which later became Wesbanco. She was in the reconcilement office with more than 40 years of service. She was well known for her infectious laugh and pleasant personality.
She enjoyed flower gardening (especially roses), reading, going to camp, shopping and QVC and watching HGTV.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Sanner is survived by her husband of seven and a half years, Barry Sanner; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald E. Wiley, Jr. and Lisa of Fairmont; one brother-in-law, David Sanner and his wife Deanna of Fairmont; one niece and Goddaughter, Angelee Wiley of Pittsburgh; and her canine companion, Molly.
Donna's family would like to say a special thank you to her nurses and caregivers Courtney, Karen, Sandy, Susan, Veronica and Kelly; and her special friend, helper and co-worker Kathy.
Friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., today from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor Jerry Reel officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens.
