Deanna Dale Baker, 55, of Fairmont, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday (April 30, 2017) unexpectedly.
She was born in Fairmont, on Jan. 7, 1962, a daughter of Doris Marlene (Decker) Jackson of Fairmont and the late Bernard Lewis Jackson.
Deanna was currently employed at Arts and Antiques Marketplace. She had also been employed as a manger of Goodwill and Kentucky Fried Chicken in Fairmont.
She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She was associated with the Fairmont Free Methodist Church, where she was baptized.
She loved watching "Dancing with the Stars" and football. Deanna was an avid fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the West Virginia University Mountaineers.
Deanna was a kind, gentle, caring person who loved God and her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Randal Scott Baker of Fairmont; a stepdaughter, Angel Marie Dillmore and her husband Phil and their children, Jacob and Baylee Dillmore all of Florida; a grandson, Carter Hamrick of West Virginia, who was the joy of her life.
Also surviving is her brother, Kenneth Jackson and his wife Robin of Hermiston, Oregon; her mother-in-law, Margaret Ann Baker of Fairmont; her sister-in-law, Karen Jackson and her son, Darrick Arbogast of Carolina; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Randal "Randy" Baker in June of 2013, and her brother-in-law, Richard "Rick" Baker.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at LIFE United Methodist Church on Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont, with Pastor Larry Buckland officiating.
