Curtis C. Richardson, 80, of Katy passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born August 2, 1935 in Fairmont, a son of the late Curtis L. and Margaret Autumn Hickman Richardson.
Curtis earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from WVU College of Engineering and was self employed as an engineer for Richardson Contracting and also retired from Owens-Illinios of Fairmont and Ohio. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fairmont and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He had served his country in the United States Army Reserves, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, traveling, and reading. He was also a member of the Willow Tree Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sudawan Sangrai Richardson, 4 children: Dawn Richardson of Florida, Margaret (Jeff) Kolar of Katy, Richard “Rick” Richardson of Fairmont, and Randy L. (Donna) Richardson of Mannington; a step-daughter: Phattra Jungponl of Thailand, 12 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and extended family. In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by a wife, Carole Lee Richardson.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor David Knotts officiating.
