Charles Glen Yost, 61, of Clarksburg, passed away Thursday (Feb. 23, 2017) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born April 13, 1955, in Fairmont, a son of the late Raymond "Dick" and Naomi Smith Yost.
Charles was the owner and operator of Harry's Laminated in Fairmont for more than 43 years. He was an avid fan of West Virginia University sports and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed his grandchildren (and any children for that matter). He loved helping people and fixing things and was a kind and gentle soul. He also loved his granddog, "Cato."
Survivors include his wife, Jenny Menendez Yost, whom he married Oct. 7, 1978; two sons, Bill (Kathy) Yost and Michael Yost all of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Townes and Ellis Yost; his mother-in-law, Melba Menendez of Fairmont; two sisters, Gloria (Mark) McGinnis of Florida and Karen Sue Harbert of Fairmont; a brother, Robert (Denise) Yost of Worthington; 15 nieces and nephews, Steven Harbert, Robbie Yost, Stephanie Brunner, Adam Yost, Andy, Bobby, Madelynne, Ricky, Mallory, Daniel and Ben Menendez, Yvonn Ikram, Arwen Bunirgio, Cel and Erin McGinnis; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Joe Menendez, and his father-in-law, Joe S. Menendez.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery.
