Charles Russell "Chuck" Masters, 76, of Metz, died Tuesday (Sept. 6, 2016) at his residence.
He was born Sept. 30, 1939, in Mannington, a son of the late Charles Herbert and Bonnie Marie Cyphers Masters.
Chuck was self-employed as a truck driver and carpenter. He loved painting, carpentry, guns and cars. He also enjoyed collecting knives, enjoying John Wayne and caring for his pets.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kay Masters; children, Nicole Riggs and husband Jonathan, Tisha Kiser and husband Larry, all of Metz, Ginger Masters of Fort Myers, Florida, Russell "Rusty" Masters and wife Dorothy, Nathan Masters, all of New Martinsville, and Charles "Chucky" Masters of Salem; a sister, Carolyn Sue Masters of Waynesburg; several grandchildren, including Chaz "Scooter" Wright, Kaleb "Blaze" Kiser, Nicholas Kiser, Zettie, Tyler, Jordan, Chelsea and Kyle Masters; several great-grandchildren; four nephews, Gary, Timothy and Mark Wright, and Scott Masters; and a niece, Connie Masters.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Roy Masters.
There will be no public services. Cremation services are entrusted to the Hutson Funeral Home in Mannington.
