Catherine "Katie"'s Story
Catherine "Katie" L. (Clausi) Clouse Moon, 99, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday morning (April 5, 2017) at Fazio's Elder Care in Monongah.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1918, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Theresa Marra Clausi Clouse.
Katie and her late husband owned and operated the Harvest Moon Lounge on Fairmont Avenue for several years. She formerly was the manager at Standard Furniture in Fairmont. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and a former member of the Quota Club.
Katie is survived by her nephew and care-giver, Louis Marra of Fairmont; and her stepchildren, Donna Tardiff of California, Judy Carnell and William Douglas Moon III both of Maryland. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and her godchildren, Mary Furbee of Pleasant Valley and Coletta Capral of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Moon II; two sisters, Mary Marra and Rose Delligatti; and two brothers, Louis and Anthony Clouse.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Robert A. Perriello as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. A vigil service led by Deacon David Lester will be held 7:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
