Carolyn June Miller, 77, of Fairmont (Bellview Community), passed from this life Friday (May 5, 2017) in her home, under hospice care.
She was born in Fairmont, on June 7, 1939, a daughter of the late Lewis Ray Moore and Mary Katherine Frey Moore.
Carolyn loved to travel, camp, quilt, read and follow West Virginia University sports and had attended several of the women's basketball games. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ for 40 years. She was a 1957 graduate of Farmington High School. She retired as a machine operator from Westinghouse/Philips with over forty years of service.
She is survived by two children, Janet Miller, her primary care-giver and fellow traveler, and Eric (Melisa) Miller of Martinsburg; her other daughter-in-law, Becky Miller of Shinnston; one brother, Thomas (Donna) Moore of Barrackville; four granddaughters, Julia (Aaron) Stenberg, Megan (Zack) Sharpe, Christian Long and Samantha Long; two great-grandsons, Danny and Caleb Sharpe; and one great-granddaughter, Jordan Sharpe
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clark A. Miller, on Feb. 24, 2007, and her son, John Miller.

Friends may call from 1-6 p.m. today and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Cyphers officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
