Bonnie Geraldine Thompson King, 89, of Rachel, died on Thursday (July 7, 2016) at her residence.
She was born July 5, 1927 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Joe Thompson and Virginia Decker Thompson.
She is survived by her son, John Ray King Sr. and wife Doreen Sue King of Beverly Hills, Florida; a daughter, Cheryl DeFazio of Fairmont; seven grandchildren, John King Jr. and wife Julia of Rachel, Joe DeFazio of Fairmont, Andrew DeFazio of Fairmont, Nicholas DeFazio of Monongah, Rosie DeFazio of Fairmont, Cindy Rush of Reedsville and Tayleen King of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Jonathan King, Samuel King, Jericho Rush and Amelia Rush; two sisters-in-law, Uneeda Perkins of Camden, New Jersey and Elizabeth King of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Chewy.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil King; and two brothers, Paul Thompson and Melvin Thompson.
She was formerly employed at Westinghouse in Fairmont and the Garden Fresh in Mannington. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed collecting angels and doing crafts. She was a member of Mannington Church of Christ.

Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Masters Funeral Home, Mannington. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with Dr. Evangelist Michael P. Reese officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
