B. "Annie"'s Story
B. Ann "Annie" Mundy, 78, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday (Oct. 20, 2016) surrounded by her family at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born in Claysville, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Ray H. Taylor and Bertha Opal (Pattison) Taylor.
Mrs. Mundy was a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Christian by faith. Her many interests included playing bingo at the VFW, traveling, cooking and spending time with her many friends and family.
She is survived by her loving companion of 44 years, Frank Jay Workman; one son, Edward William Roche of Florida; one daughter, Donna Marie Hess and her husband Homer of Fairmont; a stepson, Burl Edward Workman of Fairmont; a stepdaughter, Debbie Workman Cooper and her husband John of Fairmont; a son-in-law, Tom Conrad of Fairmont; her grandchildren, Regina Robinson, Joseph Hess, Michael Hess, Homer Hess Jr, Raelene Sochor, Laura McKinney, Edward Roche IV, Abby Cooper and John Cooper Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Betty McDavid of Pennsylvania, and several nieces, nephews and many good friends.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lee Conrad; a sister, Mary Thomas; and a brother, Ray Taylor.
Friends and family may call from 1-8 p.m. today and from noon-1 p.m. on Sunday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Rex Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
