Anthony "Tony" James Maselli, 88, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday (June 21, 2017) surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of the late Felice (Felix) and Maddalena (Minnie) Gallozzi Maselli.
Tony graduated from Fairmont Senior High where he was on the National Honor Society and played on the football team that was state champs. He graduated from Fairmont State University with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude).
He worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Cincinnati for 40 years. Tony was an avid reader and loved to travel. He was also a huge sports fan and liked to follow the Reds, Bengals and Steelers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Maselli (Wagner); and daughter-in-law, Anne Maselli. He is also survived by brothers, David Maselli of Fairmont and Carmen "Nucci" (Dianne) Maselli, niece, Dr. Lisa Renee (Robert) Maselli-Horvath; great-nephew, Harrison Riley Horvath, all of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and a niece, Amy Dianne Maselli of Berkley, California, and numerous nieces and nephews in Kentucky.
Tony is also survived by cousins, David and Caroline Carlot, Karen and Stanley Sears, Delora Pollutro-Belcastro, all of Fairmont, and Mary Ann Julian-Pollutro of Bridgeport, and godchildren Julie Marie Pellillo-Beafore and Mary Ann Rizzo-Starkey
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son David Maselli; and first-cousin, James Anthony Pollutro, whom he loved as a brother.
Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Agnes Church (Fort Wright, Kentucky). Entombment will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery (Fort Mitchell, Kentucky).
