Yvonne H. Bolyard Murray, 75, of Scotch Hill Community, Newburg, passed away Sunday (Nov. 19, 2017) with family by her side.
She was born Nov. 7, 1942 in Fellowsville, daughter of the late Lester Frey and Velma E Simpson Bolyard.
Yvonne graduated from Fellowsville High School. Yvonne was a teacher aide for the Preston County Board of Education for over 32 years. She was an EMT for Mountaineer Ambulance Service. She was a member of West Preston and Preston High School Band Boosters and a volunteer at the Fellowsville School. Yvonne loved doing needlepoint, camping and traveling.
She is survived by four children, Sherri L. Meffe and Robert, Fairmont, Rhonda L. Farrell and Kenny, Scotch Hill, Lisa D. Bolyard and Bobby, Scotch Hill, and Jamey A. Murray and Amber, Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren, Matthew McGinnis and Emily, Daren and Lenzy Meffe, Tyler, Zak and Kaitie Farrell, Emily and Joshua Bolyard and Sayer and Silas Murray; one great-grandson, Zakkary McGinnis; one sister, Naomi Thorn, Fellowsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Murray in 2013; one brother, Richard Bolyard at infancy; and one sister, Shirley Bolyard at infancy.
Family and friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service at noon Saturday with the Rev. David D. Spence officiating at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg. Interment will follow at the Murray Family Cemetery, Scotch Hill.
