William Lindsay Thompson II, 49, of Fairmont, passed away Saturday (Sept. 23, 2017).
He was born Oct. 25, 1967 in Fairmont, son of William Lindsay Thompson and the late Janice Gayle Day Thompson.
William was a member of the Norway Church of Christ, a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and employed by Universal Protection Service as a site supervisor at the Harrison Power Station for 25 years.
He enjoyed fishing and loved coaching girls softball. He was an avid WVU sports fan.
William is survived by his wife, Michelle Thompson; three children, Kelsie Thompson and companion J.D. McFall of Bridgeport, Lindsay Thompson and fiancé Shane Bond of Fairmont and Jacob Thompson of Fairmont; a brother, Kristopher Lee Thompson of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Kinsley Grace Thompson and Braylon William Thompson; and two nieces who were raised like daughters, Brianna Lachapelle and Kaytlin Lachapelle.
In addition to his mother, William is preceded in death by a brother, Jason Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Grove Cemetery in Monongah.
