William Frederick Robinette

William Frederick "Ted" Robinette, Jr., age 64, of Idamay, WV passed away at home on May 10, 2019 following a year-long battle with ALS. Born in Fairmont, on September 20, 1954, he was the son of the late William F. Robinette, Sr. and the late Mary Elinor Robinette Watkins.
Ted graduated from Farmington High School in 1973 and went to work for Consol Energy at the Robinson Run Mine #95 in the same year. He was a dedicated employee and proud member of the UMWA Local 1501 for 45 years. His last few years of employment were for Murray Energy at the Harrison County Mine.

Throughout the years, Ted enjoyed coaching for the Idamay Black Diamonds football team, Monongah Middle School basketball teams, and the Lincoln High School track team which he coached for 10 years. He was also a H.S. basketball official and H.S. & collegiate volleyball official with the North Central WV Volleyball Assoc. for 20 years. He was a member of the Mannington BPOE Elks Lodge WV 388 for 26 years.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Deborah (Maxwell) Robinette of Idamay, WV; a daughter, Michelle Moyers and her husband Jeremiah of Pakersburg, WV; a son, William F. Robinette III and his wife Janice of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren, Katherine, Luke, and Noah Moyers; one sister, Ellen M. Webb of Minnesota; aunts, Patty Corcoglioniti, Joan Ross, and Flora Henderson (Roy); a niece, Janet Lazarin (Emilio); a nephew, Richard Yost; great-niece and nephews, Amara, Jon, & Ian Lazarin and Richard & Victor Yost; brothers-in-law, Rick Maxwell (Cheryl), and Terry Maxwell (Cathy) and their families; and many cousins.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by a stepfather, Claude Watkins; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Gazella Harker; and paternal grandparents James Robinette and Emma "Tootsie" Czerwinski; uncles, James Robinette, Thomas Harker, Joseph Corcoglioniti, and Robert Ross; a brother-in-law, John T. Webb; and a niece, Tiffany Maxwell.

Ted was cremated per his wishes. The family will receive friends at Ross Funeral Home at 801 Fairmont Avenue, Fairmont on Saturday, May 18th from 1:00-7:00 pm, followed by a memorial service with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating.

The family would like to thank Care Partners Home Health and Amedisys Hospice for their great care and kindness.

Debbie & Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I so enjoyed our times together with our church family at the Idamay Methodist Church during that time of our lives.
I remember Ted as a kind and warm person and although
his loss here is hard to bear, I have no doubt that Ted has
gained his place in Heaven, now well and happy beyond
