William Carl Chenoweth, 79, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2017) at the Louis A. Johnson Medical Center in Clarksburg.
William was born April 5, 1938, in Fairmont, the son of the late Tulley Grey Chenoweth and Alice Elizabeth Soles Chenoweth.
William worked as a coal miner and high lift operator with Paul Harrold Inc. and Markovich Coal Co. He loved to go deer hunting, fishing and four-wheeling and was an avid reader.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Stahl (1985), and one brother, Grey Junior Chenoweth (2012).
William is survived by one brother, George Stephen Chenoweth and wife Phyllis; one sister-in-law, Helen Chenoweth all of Fairmont; and several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dorsey Funeral Home with Charles Chipps presiding. Interment will be at the Chenoweth Family Farm in Fairmont.
