Wilbur Earl "Bubbie" Horner, age 87 of Mannington, WV passed away on Monday morning, April 22, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1931 at Hickory, PA son of the late Henry Horner and Virginia Six Horner.

He is survived by four children, Wilber Earl "Skip" Horner Jr. and wife Dalene of Mannington, Dr. Philip Henry Horner and wife Cindy of Fairmont, Kimberly Sue Horner and significant other Thomas McIntire of Centerville, VA, and Jack Dennis Horner of Mannington, who was his constant caregiver and best friend; 5 grandchildren, Brittany (Timothy) Cross, Bridget Horner and fiancée Lukas Travinski, Brandon Horner, Benjamin Horner and significant other Syhara Fluharty, and Rebecca (Billy) Mayfield; 3 great-grandchildren, Damien Cross, Dean Cross and Roan Mayfield; one brother, Raymond (Midge) Horner of Ohio; a brother-in-law, John Ashcraft of Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, "Bubbie" was preceded in death by his wife Bettie Ruth Horner who died in 1991; 3 sisters, Marge Porter, Ellie Walters, and Karen Ashcraft.

"Bubbie" was retired UMWA having worked at Robinson Run Consolidated Coal after 23 years. He was a member of the Bee Gum United Methodist Church in Mannington. He was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan. He loved his family and enjoyed watching sports.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, Mannington, WV on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 10:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Harley Mayfield officiating. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the Marion Co. Veterans Council in the funeral home parking area immediately following services. Burial will follow at the Bee Gum Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com
