Shirley Elizabeth Efaw, age 82, of Mannington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday (Dec. 1, 2017) at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 23, 1935, at Fairmont, a daughter of the late Glenn Sanders and Lottie Gladys Burnworth Sanders-Wall.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Willard G. "Joker" Efaw with whom she married on July 14, 1955; two sons, Timothy Joe and Sherry L. Efaw of Fairmont and Eric Todd and Paula Efaw of Mannington; one daughter, Tammy Jo and Gary Sigley of Mannington; grandchildren, Erin Joann and Andrew Sloan, Amanda Jo and Johnny Kesling, Erica Paige Efaw and Brittany Lee Sigley; one sister, Clara Sue "Suzi" McCann of Mannington; one brother-in-law, John J. Jurofcik of Monongahela, Pennsylvania; and two nieces and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by one son, Willard Glen Efaw Jr.; one infant brother, Benton Lee Sanders; and two sisters, Lola Lain Jurofcik and Genie Lee Slavic.
Shirley enjoyed playing the piano (playing by ear) and going to the Bunner Ridge Sagebrush Round-Up. She also attended gospel sings at various churches in the area. She loved the Lord and encouraged everyone to pursue salvation. Her "Golden Nugget" was "What does the B.I.B.L.E. mean to you Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth."
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Shuttlesworth officiating. Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
