Sechenna Mae "Cookie" Lambert, 26, of Morgantown and Fairmont, passed away Monday (Jan. 8, 2018) at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Morgantown on Feb. 7, 1991, a daughter of Timothy Lambert of Fairmont and the late Carol Ann (Wadsworth) Freeland.
Cookie graduated from High School in North Carolina. She was an active member of ARC in Fairmont. She enjoyed swimming, board games, attending the many activities at ARC, growing vegetables, coloring and watching her favorite television show, "Walker Texas Ranger." She was a kind, loving person who always had a smile for everyone. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her grandmother, who raised her following her mother's death, Mary Jane Wadsworth Raschella of Morgantown; her grandmother, Bonnie Lawson of Ohio; a half-sister, Danielle Dunn of Fairmont; her aunts and uncles, Linda and Bill Kirby of North Carolina, Bob and Patty Wadsworth of Morgantown and Che Che and Stan Tenney of Fairmont; her stepfather, Eugene Freeland of Fairmont; and her stepbrother, Chris Freeland and his wife Allisa of Morgantown. Also surviving are several cousins, aunts, uncles of Fairmont and North Carolina.
In addition to her mother, Cookie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Glen Wadsworth, and an uncle, John Wadsworth.
Friends and family may visit from 1-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Barker officiating. Interment service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
