Ruby's Story

Ruby Mabel Gray, 90, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Thornton, passed away Monday (Jan. 22, 2018) at Ames Hospice House in West Lake, Ohio. She was born Dec. 2, 1927 in Thornton, a daughter of the late Dayton Isaac and Iva May Poling.
Ruby was Christian by faith. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and flowers. She loved shopping with her sister.
She is survived by six children, Larry Poling, Cleveland, Ohio, Linda Bramer, Bridgeport, Gene Gray, Grafton, James Gray and wife Rhonda, Petersburg, Mary Stadnik and husband Tommy, Medina, Ohio and Bonnie Terry and husband Clint, North Ridgeville, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Alberta Wilfong, Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Gray; one daughter, Frances McMannus; seven brothers, Howard, Roy, Floyd, Junior, Carl, Russell and Benny Poling; and one sister, Goldie Masters.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Payne Cemetery.
