Ronald's Story

Text size

Ron lost his battle with lung cancer Dec. 27, 2016, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired corrections officer from J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway, South Carolina.
A few things he loved were being outdoors, gardening, plants and birds, along with reading and learning all he could about history. Ron was the center of his family and was/is loved by almost if not all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Victor and Blanche Marie Leek.
He is survived by his husband, Patrick Watts. Siblings, Victoria Winkleman, Albert and Doris Leek, and Larry Leek. Daughters, Jessica Bingamon and Amanda Leek. Grandchildren, Dustin, Austin, Preston and Triston Bingamon. Great grandson, Zane Bingamon, and his four grand-dogs.
Ron could always make one smile and laugh with his witty humor. He will always be remembered and loved for his spirit of adventure, creativity and kind heart. Services are pending; you may contact his daughter Amanda with questions at 304-282-4331.
