Ronald "Roddie" Dean, 51, of Monongah, passed away Saturday (Dec. 16, 2017). He was born June 10, 1966, son of Carolyn Vanfosson Dean and the late Ronald Dean.
He was a member of the National Rifleman's Association, an avid muzzle loader, and attended trade schools for diesel and motorcycle mechanics.
Ronald is survived by his mother, Carolyn Dean; a brother, Scott Dean; three uncles, Normal Dean and wife Sandy of Chesapeake, Virginia, Larry Dean and wife JoAnn of Buckhannon, and Marvin Vanfosson of Mannington; two aunts, Donetta Brunett and husband Joe of Fairmont and Shirley Schaffer of Uniontown; and several cousins.
In addition to his father, Ronald is preceded in death by five uncles, Bob Dean, David Dean, Gary Vanfosson, James Vanfosson, and Lyndon Vanfosson; three aunts, Margie Jacobs, and twins Janet and Linda; and his grandparents, George and Edna Vanfosson and Sam and Ruby Dean.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor David Huckins officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
