Rochelle Ann Thompson Rochelle Ann Thompson, 82 of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday (Nov. 6, 2018). She was born March 5, 1936, daughter of the late Thomas Whitehair and Oleda Kibbe Whitehair.
Rochelle was employed by AAA for over 40 years. She was a member of the Norway Church of Christ, Tops and Marion County Senior Citizens.
Rochelle is survived by her sons, Larry Thompson of Fairmont, and Gary Thompson (Lisa) of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Zackary Thompson of Fairmont and Nina McCoy of Texas; step granddaughters, Megan Haught of Pittsburgh and Linsey Reynolds of Scott Depot; great-grandchildren, Emma McCoy of Texas, Ansley, Layne, Haylen and Beckley Haught of Pittsburgh, and Jaxx and Kinley Reynolds of Scott Depot; a brother Thomas Whitehair (Maryann) of Bellvernon, Pennsylvania; a sister, Sandra Hugus (Richard) of Indiana; a very special friend, Gary Cooper; a very close friend, David Raines; and several nieces and nephews who she adores. Rochelle is also survived by many close lifelong friends and family that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, Rochell was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Thompson; her infant daughter; and two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont. Rochelle will lie in state from noon-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Norway Church of Christ. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. in the church with Pastor Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
