Robert Lee Snider, Jr.

Events

Robert Lee Snider, Jr., 69, of Mannington, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
He was born on January 18, 1950, in Fairmont, a son to Robert Lee, Sr. and Betty Jean (Straight) Snider.
Bob graduated from Trap Hill High School in 1967. He retired after 37 years at Michael Machine in Mannington. Retirement just wasn't for him and he started working at D&G Machine, also in Mannington, where he was employed for the last 4 1/2 years.
Bob was known for his quick wit, never ending supply of jokes, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He truly never met a stranger. He enjoyed anything and everything about golf, going to car shows, taking drives in the country with his wife, and reading his bible. More than anything, he loved his family and the Lord.
Bob belonged to the AF & AM Lodge No. 31, Augusta Chapter No. 6 of The Order of Eastern Star, both of Mannington; Woodmen Life Lodge No. 20, as well as the First Century Church of Metz.
He was preceded in death by his father, both maternal and paternal grandparents; mother-in-law Margaret Mundell; sister-in-law Carol West; and his beloved dachshund, Lucy.
Left to grieve are his wife, Kathy (Mullins) Snider; son Robert "Wes" Weslee Snider and his significant other Ashley Campeau, along with children Abigale and Dominic Pugliese; daughters, Angela Copney and husband Ray, and Amanda Ammons and significant other Larry Herron, Jr.; two nieces that he raised and loved as his own, Stephanie Boyce and husband Ronald and Lyndsay Fought and husband Justin; hia mother, Betty Snider; seven grandchildren, Miguel, Caden & Alexis Acevedo, Arianna & Deven Ammons, and Zayden & Zarian Copney.
Also surviving are his brother, Dennis (Donna) Snider; brothers-in-law, James (Martha) Mullins, Marty (Dreama) Mullins, and Richard West; son-in-law, Richard Ammons; mother of his son, Joni (Alvin) Stevens and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Bob touched are invited to show their respects at Master's Funeral Home, 209 E. Main St., Mannington, WV on Tuesday, April 23rd from 4 PM - 9 PM, where the Order of Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 PM, and Wednesday, April 24th from 9 AM - 1PM. Services will be held at 1 PM, at the funeral home, with Pastor Eric Finch officiating. Interment will be held at Mannington Memorial Park, with Masonic Rites being held at the grave site.

To all who love Robert, he was my brother in law for 25 years and was in my life from the time I was 6 years old. He was the most wonderful male role model in my life and I will never forget him. He was kind, honest, true, FUNNY, and loving and I will never forget all the kindness he showed to me. God bless you all n may God comfort you in this very sad time. I love you, Bob
