Robert "Bob" Lee Morris, 83, of Fairmont passed away on Sunday (March 3, 2018) at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fairmont on Aug. 13, 1934 a son of the late Elizabeth Morris.
He was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960. He later worked for and retired from Fairmont Supply.
He was a devoted son and cared for his mother until her death in May 2000. He enjoyed attending West Virginia festivals. He was an avid fan of Fairmont State University sports, especially basketball as well as WVU. Bob was a kind and friendly person who had a good sense of humor, and who never met a stranger. If you met him, he would make you smile. He was an intelligent man who kept up with current events. He enjoyed listening to country music on his radio.
He is survived by his cousins Jeanie and Charlie McDaniel, Jim and Linda Morris, Judy and Ron Bailes and Jack Morris.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today and from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating. Burial will follow at McCurdysville Cemetery.
