Richard "Reggie" Eugene Watkins, 19, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2017) as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Fairmont, on May 19, 1998, and attended East Fairmont High School. Reggie was happy and fun-loving, and he enjoyed listening to music, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles, and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Reggie is survived by his parents, James Wayne Watkins and his wife B.J. of Fairmont, and Christine Williams of Fairmont; his brothers, J.D. Stewart of Fairmont, Joshua Kyle of Morgantown and Christopher Watkins and his wife Candy of Mannington; and his sisters, Ashley Watkins and Christinn Watkins, both of Fairmont.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Richard Williams of Eglon, West Virginia, Mary Williams of Fairmont, and Glenda and Eugene Watkins of Florida; two stepbrothers; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many good friends.
Reggie was preceded in death by a brother, Zachary James Wayne Watkins; his grandmother, Reba Williams; and one uncle, Johnny Ray Williams.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
